Stevens idé partners heeft de nieuwe bandenbouwmachine van VMI uit Epe vormgegeven. De VMI MAXX heeft een eigen herkenbare vormgeving die de proceslijnen zichtbaar maakt. Door toevoeging van stijlelementen is de uitstraling modern en innovatief. Door aanpassing van de gekleurde elementen is de machine snel klantspecifiek te maken.

VMI wins the '2009 Tire Manufacturing Innovation of the year Award' for its new MAXX tire building machine. At the Tire Technology Expo in Hamburg (Germany), VMI won the award for Tire innovation for its new MAXX tire building machine. The tire building process of the MAXX is fully automatic and a robot unloads the green car tires from the machine. The first thing that strikes one is the new corporate VMI design, that gives the machine a completely new look, but this design allowed at the same time for the integration of all the safeties in the base construction of the machine.
